A female violet-backed starling or Amethyst Starling, Moshi, Tanzania, Africa
The violet-backed starlings are a perfect example of a sexually dimorphic species. When i shot these birds i thought there were a completely different species. But i discovered that there are many such animals that are sexually dimorphic for example the male and the female Common Pheasant, male and female Mallards, the Northern elephant seals.
